See what guests are saying about their time at the Bird Lovers Paradise.

Our family loved being so close to the birds. This was very relaxing for all of us. The kids loved the water..couldn’t drag them out. We hope to be back next year.

This is a wonderful house and great location. Our experiences with the varieties of birds will leave many lasting memories. Tops on the list may be the chickadee feeding from my hand. Thank you for making our stay a comfortable one in your beautiful house.

I will remember this trip for as long as I live, doing nothing but feeling everything. The house is very welcoming, it did not take long for it to feel like home.

Thank you for such a lovely time. Your home is fabulous. We were not sure what we would find here, but what we found was a true gem. Our girls all had a wonderful time. The 6 year old wrote a separate note (which itself says a lot)...

Had a WONDERFUL stay at your place on the Lake. We appreciate your sharing your home and look forward to returning. My cousins wife is a birder. We saw most of the birds on the list you provided and even saw a bluebird building its home in one of the front yard bird houses. Early one morning my husband saw 2 adult black bears walk thru the yard. My cousin is an avid biker and enjoyed the roads riding back and forth to Traverse City. We also found a nice public golf course nearby. Mackinac Island is only 2 hours away so we decided to go there and spend a day.

We found the location of your home worked for all that we chose to do.

There are five depressed people here, prepping for our return downstate. We’ve had a wonderful week in this beautiful house. The variety of birds is really magical and particularly enchanted our eight year old daughter. ..
PS- Loved the art work. The piece above the mantle was fodder for much discussion - watch how the lights in the windows appear in the evening. We think it’s happening in Chicago. (btw, the piece above the mantle is set in Chicago — Chris)

One thing remained constant, our love of your home. It is very warm and inviting. Love the rough cut granite, stone drawer pulls, the countertops for the island and bar. It is these special touches that make the home unique. Wildlife-turkeys, garter snake on the sidewalk, porcupine on the path to the lake. Thank you.
